Summer 2026 in Marbella: the season’s key events and parties

Sixty nights of music. Hundreds of sunsets with cocktails. One big social calendar.

Summer in Marbella is not just a vacation. It is a season that people plan the year around. Those who live here year-round mark specific dates on their calendars as early as March. Those who fly in book tables months ahead.

The 2026 season turned out especially packed. Starlite is expanding, beach clubs are launching new formats, Marbella Arena adds world-class stars, and traditional Spanish celebrations sit alongside international DJ sets. Here is the complete guide to what you should not miss from June to September.

Starlite Occident Marbella 2026: the season’s main event

From 19 June to 29 August, Cantera de Nagüeles once again turns into the most beautiful open-air concert venue in Europe. The former quarry with wild rock walls, located above the Golden Mile, for 60 nights becomes home to the biggest stars on the world stage.

In 2026, Starlite finally cemented its status as the longest-running boutique festival in the world. After 15 editions, it is no longer a “summer event” but a cultural institution of the Costa del Sol.

Top names of the summer:

19 June. Ozuna opens the season.
29 June. Lenny Kravitz returns to the Starlite stage after many years away.
6 July. Grupo Frontera, the main Latin American hit of the season.
7 July. Maroon 5 with a full program of world hits.
9 July. Deep Purple, legendary rock with the acoustics of the career.
18 July. Yandel Sinfónico.
22 July. Carlos Rivera.
4 August. Sergio Dalma.
19 August. Antoñito Molina closes August.

The lineup also includes: John Legend, Diana Krall, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Rick Astley, Jean Michel Jarre, Juan Luis Guerra, Gipsy Kings, Danny Ocean, Kool & The Gang.

Starlite gastronomy. Five restaurants before the concert: Tanabata (nikkей), Sandra's Caviar Bar for a VIP format, plus three more concepts. Reservations are required one week before the concert.

Sessions after the concert. If you want to spend the whole night, after the main program the Sessions area opens with DJ sets until 4 a.m. The best way to close out a Starlite evening.

New for 2026: Starlite Beach Club. A second brand format opens at Laguna Beach (Estepona). A beach area of 2,000 square meters, a pool, a restaurant, themed parties. The Starlite concept moved onto the sand.

Marbella Arena: an international stage in July

This season, the venue in Nueva Andalucía is especially strong. The program is put together to compete with Starlite without direct overlap.

9 July. Faithless, one of the most anticipated electronic concerts of the summer.
10 July. Two Door Cinema Club.
16 July. UB40 featuring Ali Campbell.

Plus a whole series of DJ events and electronic nights across July.

Beach clubs: where to go by day of the week

Summer in Marbella is firmly tied to beach clubs. Each has its own day, its own circle, its own reputation. The basic schedule for the 2026 season:

Sundays. Boho Sunday at Playa Padre. One of Marbella’s most recognizable weekly events. Free style, a fashion crowd, world-class DJs. If you have just one Sunday in Marbella, it is about Playa Padre.

Sundays. Sunset Ritual at La Plage Casanis. An alternative to Playa Padre for those who prefer a more intimate format. Music, sunset, dinner by the sea, moving from golden hour into the night. Less party, more refined.

Any day. Nikki Beach. A classic with white daybeds along the sea, champagne, and signature service. Consistently strong crowd from June to September.

Any day. Ocean Club. Loud, spectacular, with pool parties and dancing on sunbeds. For those who want maximum energy.

Evenings. La Plaza Puente Romano. After sunset, the main social spot on the Golden Mile. Cocktails, DJ sets, live performances, dinner surrounded by a five-star hotel. The best place for networking in an informal format.

Traditional celebrations: what matters to locals

Summer in Marbella is not only imported formats. There are events that have been held for centuries, and it is important to see them at least once.

23 June. Noche de San Juan. The most mystical night of the summer. Bonfires on the beaches, rituals by the water, swimming in the sea exactly at midnight. Linked to the summer solstice and the symbolism of fire and water. The best way to spend the evening: book a table at a beachfront restaurant or chiringuito, have dinner, and then go out to the beach for the bonfires. The atmosphere is absolutely unique.

16 July. Virgen del Carmen. Patron saint of fishermen and sailors. A procession by sea, boats decorated with garlands, blessing of the fleet. A small, authentic celebration that few tourists get to see. Best viewed from the beaches of Marbella centro or San Pedro.

July–August. Feria de San Bernabé. Marbella’s main city celebration with fireworks, parades, a fair, and concerts in Casco Antiguo. Full immersion in Andalusian culture.

Food and drink events

Marbella Luxury Weekend. Every summer in early July, Puerto Banús hosts a weekend of high fashion and gastronomy. Pop-up dinners with star chefs, brand presentations, fashion shows.

Wine & Tapas Routes. Throughout the summer, wine routes run across San Pedro and Casco Antiguo. Local restaurants offer a special tapas menu with a couple of wines. The cost of one “stop” starts from €5.

How to plan the season the right way

A few practical tips from people who have lived here for several years.

Book Starlite in advance. Especially VIP boxes and tables for the gastronomy part. By June, only the farthest seats remain for the hottest dates.

Don’t try to fit everything into one week. Marbella runs on a different rhythm. One beach club in the morning, one concert in the evening, one traditional celebration per week. That is enough.

Mondays and Tuesdays for gastronomy. Beach clubs are weaker at the start of the week, and restaurant and chef menus become more available. A great time for dinners in Benahavís or Casco Antiguo.

Wednesday and Thursday for Starlite. Weekends are harder due to traffic and parking. On weekdays, the atmosphere is calmer, and the stars are the same.

September is the secret weapon. Crowds thin out, prices drop, the weather is perfect, and the sea is at its warmest. The best month for those who know Marbella.

One last piece of advice

Summer 2026 in Marbella is not a city where you need to “get everything done.” It is a city where you need to “fall into the rhythm.” The best evening of the season often turns out not to be at the loudest concert, but at a spontaneous dinner on a terrace with a view of La Concha, after which you accidentally end up at a private party where you meet someone from the 12th country this season.

This is Marbella. The best things happen between the scheduled events.
